Design foam parts for bus seats and furniture industry following given requirements. Create 3D CAD 2D drawings, BOM’s and manage them within company PDM system. Participate in FEA simulations, prototype builds and testing. Support start of production.

- On a daily basis create detailed design of rebounded and/or molded PU foam parts (CAD, drawings, BOMs, specs, standards, etc.).
- Review product information with customer, industrial design, manufacturing engineering, etc. and include their feedback into the product definition.
- Provide input to CAE Engineer to run virtual validation and include results into the foam design.
- Support part prototyping process and lab testing.
- Participate in production launches sharing product information with Operation Team.
- Work with Controlling and Sales Teams on product costing.
- Estimate time and costs required to complete project.
- Pursue ongoing education in the field.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3 year degree in related field (preferred)
- Bachelor's or Certifications (preferred)
- 3+ years experience utilizing CAD software and PDM
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Minimum 5 years working in a professional environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- An abundance of patience to see a complicated project to the end
- Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner
- Comfortable with sitting for long periods of time
