Real Floors, Inc. is the #1 multifamily flooring provider in the country and we're searching for a top-notch FLOORCOVERING FIELD TECHNICIAN to cover the Nashville area!
JOB OVERVIEW:
The FLOORCOVERING FIELD TECHNICIAN is primarily responsible to inspect our flooring installations in apartments and in university- and college-owned student housing, and is able to make minor flooring installation repairs as needed. He/she serves as the first line of defense to identify any potential warranty issues, and occasionally picks up and delivers flooring material to job sites or to subcontracted installers.
The FLOORCOVERING FIELD TECHNICIAN has daily use of a company vehicle to drive to our customer job sites. Therefore, he/she must have a valid driver license and a clean driving record to perform critical duties of the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives a company vehicle daily to multifamily jobsites to inspect flooring installations done by our subcontracted flooring installers.
- Reports bad results, and follows up on incidents to confirm resolution in a timely manner.
- Identifies installation defects through the flooring inspection and, if able, solves minor issues using Company's tools.
- Meets with subcontracted flooring installers in the field and at the assigned branch location to discuss installations issues.
- Authorized to approve floor prep on-site.
- Meets with vendor and manufacturer reps to address product recommendations, concerns, questions, and problems.
- Stays abreast of new product and installation methods
- Participates in on-site vendor training sessions.
- Conducts periodic installation education seminars (including demos) for our subcontractors, sales reps, and branch personnel.
- Meets with company customers, including property managers and maintenance personnel.
- Measures rooms for new flooring and creates a materials list.
- Picks up and delivers material to jobsites/subcontractors, if needed.
- Performs all other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Product knowledge and installation experience of carpet and vinyl flooring materials, and related supplies is preferred, but is not required.
- Able to perform floor covering repairs if needed.
- Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed if delivering material to jobsites/subcontractors.
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is a plus - but it is not required.
