Job Purpose:
The Floor Manager leads, manages, and ensures that service operates smoothly for Venus Spirits through agreed and defined strategic goals and procedures. Works closely with the owners, managers, and employees to ensure a quality guest experience from greeting to departure. Oversees opening and closing procedures are met and ensures that all health and safety regulations are adhered to. Assist management in training new hires. Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints. Works nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to maintain quality and profitability.
Primary Duties:
· Provide strong leadership to the Restaurant Manager/GM and Venus Spirits team to maximize employee job satisfaction during service.
· Oversee a superior guest experience ensuring repeat business.
· Awareness of increasing profitability by encouraging staff to focus on increased ticket averages while establishing the restaurant as a top choice destination in the community.
· Present motivational solid skills to maintain a highly productive team committed to quality service and experience.
· Provide performance and service feedback with a genuine commitment to employee retention and the health and well-being of all employees.
· Organize and streamline the service to ensure the ultimate guest experience.
Daily Operations
· Perform and/or oversee the fulfillment of opening and closing procedures.
· Coordinate service, especially during high traffic times.
· Trouble shoot when short staffed to help maintain service. Should be able to assist in support and server roles.
· Ensure that the restaurant is adequately supplied for service, including food items, paper goods, staffing, etc.
· Secure and organize necessary receipts and execute responsible, detailed cash handling practices.
· Demonstrate excellence in collaborative skills and lead a large team of individuals, accomplishing various tasks simultaneously.
· Display diplomacy in conflict resolution.
· Lead by example under pressure and consistently meet service goals and deadlines in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment while maintaining a high-quality experience and a commitment to high standards.
· Gather appropriate input and make clear, well-reasoned decisions on the fly.
· Employ strong problem-solving skills.
· Be able to identify and fill-in in any weak or under-resourced area of the business.
Management Duties/Projects
· Ensure the profitability of the restaurant through agreed and defined strategies.
· oversee training of new staff
· Provide additional training for staff as needed to ensure operational excellence and leadership in the restaurant
· Alert HR with necessary reconciling of time clocks to ensure payroll can be processed accurately bi-weekly.
· Ensure labor law compliance
Ordering & Maintenance of Goods
· Communicates to appropriate management/GM when products need to be ordered or replaced.
Additional Duties
· Represent the business, including but not limited to: Know, understand, and communicate in an approachable and accessible manner all aspects of the business; understand aesthetics and company philosophy, and maintain a professional presence.
· Support all operations, including Troubleshooting problems with customers, logistics, and infrastructure during service; assisting staff during busy times; and assisting with special events.
· Contribute new ideas, initiatives, projects, suggestions, and constructive criticisms.

+ Will need to provide food handlers certificate, RBS certificate and Sexual Harassment Training Certificate.
