Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years or older
- Completion of 6 ECE units, or currently enrolled in ECE courses
- Assistant Teacher Permit or qualified
- Must be available Monday-Friday during program hours (ECE is a year-round program)
- Related experience: 350+ days of 3+ hours per day within 4 years in a childcare setting
- CPR and First Aid certified (may complete upon hire)
- Provide TB clearance prior to hire and every 2 years thereafter
- Submit proof of Immunizations for Influenza, Pertussis, and Measles
- Submit Physical Health Clearance prior to hire and every 2 years thereafter
- Fingerprint background check clearance through Community Care Licensing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Some experience working at the YMCA
- AA Degree
- Associate Teacher Permit qualified
- Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese
- Knowledge of DRDP, NAEYC, PITC, Anti-Bias Curriculum, Emergent Curriculum and Reggio Emilia
Pay Range$28 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
Mission YMCA is seeking a Part-Time Floater Teacher for the Villa de Kapuso Preschool program: 2350 San Jose Ave, San Francisco, CA 94112
The Preschool Assistant Teacher is part of a team which provides a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for all children enrolled in our program. The Preschool Assistant Teacher will actively participate and help plan all activities scheduled. The Preschool Assistant Teacher supports the teachers in the classrooms and maintains positive relationships with families being served at the YMCA Preschool Site. The Preschool Assistant Teacher must have a positive attitude and model appropriate behavior when dealing with children. The Preschool Assistant Teacher must obey and follow all regulations set forth by Community Care Licensing as well as instructions given by the Lead Teacher and Site Coordinator.
Pay range: $28 per hour
