SalaryPosition Overview:
The Floater Position will handle multiple duties, such as assisting in warehouse duties and being responsible for picking customer orders for pickup throughout the day as well as maintaining a safe and clean warehouse. Driver duties include deliveries of company products to customers. He or she will be operating a company vehicle. This position reports to the Warehouse and Distribution Operations Manager.
Essential Functions of this dual position:
DRIVER - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for picking orders and loading delivery vehicles (vans, box trucks)
- Drive (under DOT regulations) orders to customers at various locations across New England.
- Responsible for following company and customer safety policies and procedures
- Maintain and comply with company vehicle maintenance policy and procedures
- Driver will have familiarity with basic tools and maintain ability to transport both equipment and tools to customer sites
- Responsible for both electronic and written customer and company information
- Regular and reliable attendance; punctuality is essential
WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for picking orders and loading delivery vehicles (vans, box trucks)
- Pick customer orders for pickup at warehouse
- Repackage materials for shipment
- Ensure all products are properly labeled and stored in the correct area.
- Responsible for verifying quantities and product description of incoming and outgoing goods against packing slips and purchase orders
- Ensure that sales orders are shipped in a timely manner via UPS and FedEx
- Responsible for both electronic and written customer and company information
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- CDL license preferred but not required.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated, self-starting individual with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail
- A clean work and driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Physical requirements include ability to bend, squat, walk with heavy equipment, and lift 70 pounds
- Valid driver’s license
- DOT Medical Card required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
