JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to perform all teller duties, open new accounts and facilitate consumer loans and other bank service referrals. The position is also responsible for cultivating customer relationships by cross-selling and promoting MidCountry Bank's products and services in person or by telephone.
This position will primarily house of the Long Lake branch with the potential of traveling to other branches, up to 20 hours per week, when the need arises.
JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Float Support
- Provide staff support for branches in need
- Participate in system release testing
- Deliver branch staff training, formal or informal
- Provide other support to branch manager with overall operations.
Universal Banker
- Open new deposit accounts efficiently and effectively within bank policies and procedures
- Provide top level service by providing timely and accurate responses to customer and non-customer inquiries
- Cross sell bank and non-bank products and services through in person sales and outbound calls.
- Service and maintain consumer, business, HSA, and IRA accounts.
- Review and verify teller and other operational quality controls within the branch.
- Complete monthly operational reports and Audits
As well as perform all Teller functions
- Represent the bank in a professional and courteous manner. Greet all customers and assist them with their banking needs and questions.
- Process various transactions (deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, etc) requested by customers in person, via drive up, or over the phone.
- Assist with branch tasks as assigned by management
- Balance cash drawers, vault, and ATM
- Work closely with all bank departments and branch team members to assist and problem solve.
- Identify customer needs and promote products and services
- Complete online compliance courses and attend trainings as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education-
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 2-year college/tech degree or equivalent or higher
Experience-
- UB 1 preferred: 1+ years of banking experience
- UB 1 required: 1+ years of cash handling experience.
