Start your future with a new mission, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, located in Baltimore, MD, has an immediate need for a Flight Test Coordinator/Principal Administration Generalist.
This organization provides Flight Test capabilities for the development, assessment and demonstration of NGC products and systems.
The responsibilities of the Flight Test Coordinator include:

  • Ensure accurate and timely accounting and invoicing of flight hours and fuel usage. Liaise with financial department to provide monthly data to track costs and establish flight hour rate. Ensure charge number accuracy and that programs are promptly and accurately charged for flight hours to provide accurate billing to government contracts.
  • Generate, manage, and archive various department reports regarding flight hour and cost breakdown such as training costs, workforce productivity and program flight hour execution. Provide projections to management for effective decision making.
  • Ensure aircraft fuel supply requirements are met both at home base and during deployment. Coordinate with programs, fuel contractors and the Defense Logistics Agency to ensure appropriate payment methods are in place for both military and civilian airfields. Ensure detailed accounting of fuel expenses incurred during deployment.
  • Maintain aircrew records in accordance with applicable company and FAA requirements.
  • Work closely with the procurement department and maintain a professional relationship with vendors for items and services such as training, flight equipment and fuel. Maintain additional relationships outside of Flight Test to include BWI Airport Operations, DoD Air Operations, and internal programs. Ensure landing fees are properly documented and paid.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Northrop Grumman financial accounting applications, SharePoint, and CAMP aviation management software. Capable of quickly learning additional computer applications.
  • Should like fast paced environment requiring daily interaction across all Flight Test entities and occasional investigation of unique challenges within our corporate structure. The majority of work is performed on-site in an office environment. Due to the nature of Flight Test, workday pressures are consistently present and are a normal element of working conditions.
  • Perform other tasks as needed for efficient and effective operations.

Basic Qualifications for a Flight Test Coordinator:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 4 years relevant work experience; or 10 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure content meets internal and customer requirements.
  • Competent computer skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications for a Flight Test Coordinator:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 4 years relevant work experience.
  • Competent computer skills including CSS, SharePoint, CAMP maintenance tracking and recording systems
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Professional experience in the Aerospace, Defense, or Airline Industry
  • Able to multitask in a challenging environment

Salary Range: $84,600.00 - $127,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
