·Lead the A&SFS activities in support of Flight Test and Flight Operations integration across the program.
·Support development and upkeep of governance structure and reporting across the Flight Test & Flight Operations development organization to ensure compliance with business and contractual requirements.
·Apply Flight Test Engineering leadership and expertise to plan, coordinate and execute a highly complex and interdependent Developmental Flight Test Program for the F35 aircraft.
·Ensure an integrated, efficient and safe Flight Test program is delivered for the unique and demanding Short Take-Off and Vertical Landing (STOVL) and Carrier Variant (CV) aircraft.
·The role requires an element of business travel within the US and overseas, including deployments and detachment to remote work locations on land and at sea.
·The role interfaces directly with F-35 Lightning II specific to Industry & Military partners and customers.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
A broad knowledge of airframe engineering, design engineering, project/program management, systems engineering, Test Engineering and Weapon System Integration (WSI).The job holder requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in terms of formal education.
The main area of knowledge required to perform the job is Flight Test Engineering specific with the F-35 Lightning II. An expert understanding of relevant techniques/theories and applications such that the jobholder is recognized as a source of reference in the field covering a broad knowledge of that area is required.
Requires detailed and comprehensive understanding of a various engineering disciplines. Must be a subject Matter Expert in F-35, with a depth of understanding within own discipline and is able to discuss and understand context and implications of technical issues across a number of other engineering stakeholder disciplines.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Knowledge and expertise pertaining to the rules and governance requirements for flight and test operations.
- Requires an understanding of how activities of own team interrelates and interacts with other functional areas aligned to the same program.
- Demonstrable understanding of Flight Test program planning & execution for a large development program from planning start through completion of Flight Test program
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
