Fitness & Wellness Manager

Overview:
Parkland Golf & Country Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Fitness, Wellness, and Spa Manager to oversee all aspects of our fitness, wellness, and spa programs. This role requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about promoting health and wellness, possesses strong leadership skills, and has a proven track record of creating and implementing successful initiatives in a luxury club setting.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive fitness, wellness, and spa programs tailored to the needs and interests of our members.
  
• Manage and supervise fitness staff, spa therapists, estheticians, and other wellness professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to club standards.
  
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of fitness facilities, spa treatment rooms, and relaxation areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  
• Provide personalized fitness consultations, wellness assessments, and spa treatments for members, offering recommendations for achieving their health and wellness goals.
  
• Coordinate and schedule group fitness classes, spa treatments, workshops, and special events, ensuring a diverse and engaging calendar of offerings.
  
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes community engagement and member satisfaction across fitness, wellness, and spa services.
  
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate fitness, wellness, and spa initiatives into club-wide events, promotions, and activities.
  
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in fitness, wellness, and spa management.
  
• Manage the fitness, wellness, and spa budget, including purchasing equipment, supplies, and inventory management, while tracking expenses and revenue.
  
• Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of program effectiveness, member satisfaction, and staff performance, making adjustments as needed to optimize service quality and member experience.
  
• Serve as a liaison between management and members regarding fitness, wellness, and spa-related inquiries, feedback, and concerns.
  
• Uphold the club's standards of professionalism, customer service, and integrity at all times.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, Spa Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  
• Certified Personal Trainer and/or Group Fitness Instructor certification from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA).
  
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fitness, wellness, and spa management, preferably in a luxury club or resort environment.
  
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of fitness, wellness, and spa professionals.
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with members and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of fitness principles, exercise physiology, nutrition, wellness coaching, and spa treatments.
• Proficient in fitness assessment techniques, program design, spa therapy modalities, and relaxation techniques.
  
• Experience with budget management, financial reporting, and revenue generation in a hospitality or leisure industry setting.
  
• CPR/AED certification required; additional certifications such as First Aid, Lifeguarding, and Massage Therapy preferred.
