Description
Part.-time (up to 20 hours including 5 weekly classes). The part-time Fitness Specialist/Group Fitness Coordinator safely leads members in various fitness classes at Cooper Wellness Strategies corporate wellness facility in Fort Worth, Texas and serves as the team lead assisting the Fitness Program Manager in administering daily department responsibilities. These 20 hours will be dedicated to instructing 5 classes per week, assisting with Cooper Quest programming and assessments, and fitness floor supervision (and duties) to recruit exercise participation. Classes formats may include boot camps, yoga, Pilates, kettlebell, dance, indoor cycling, etc. depending on current trends and needs.

- Coordinate group exercise class and studio schedules
- Create community driven programming to assist members in reaching fitness and wellness goals
- Developing the group exercise programming with the Fitness Manager
- Teaching classes
- Evaluate group exercise classes and instructors at designated levels
- Responsible for group exercise studios and equipment
- Assess class quality and attendance
- Assisting with Fitness floor duties, assessments, special event and other duties as needed
Requirements
The ideal Fitness Specialist/Group Fitness Coordinator candidate will possess:
- Professional group fitness certification (ACE, ACSM, AFAA, or similar)
- Personal Trainer Certification (ACE, ACSM, AFAA, Cooper, NASM, or similar) - 1-2 years experience preferred
- Associate degree or +/equivalent from a 2-year college preferred
- Current CPR and AED certifications
- Prior group exercise experience required - 3 years preferred
- 1-2 years supervisory experience
