Fire Protection Engineer, EIT or
Fire Protection Engineer, PE in our Houston office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a team of talented Engineers in the A&E Consulting field.
Page Fire Protection engineering brings a breadth of experience to complex projects for national and international clients in multiple market sectors including healthcare, mission-critical, semiconductor, high-rise, higher-education, and federal (GSA, DoD, DoE, OBO, VA, etc.). Page administers Fire Protection services for our clients, encompassing new construction, renovations of existing buildings, and upgrades to Fire Protection systems. The team also implements code consulting on various Fire Protection and life safety challenges. Our project experience incorporates designing a variety of fire suppression, special hazard, fire alarm, and emergency communication systems.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include:
- Design of fire alarm and fire suppression systems
- VESDA, mass notification, toxic gas monitoring, radio enhancement, two-way communications
- Wet-Pipe, Dry Pipe, Preaction, Deluge, Foam-Water, Clean Agent
- Review and development of life safety plans
- Life safety and building code consulting
- Work on projects in a variety of market sectors including datacenters, semiconductor, healthcare, federal (GSA, OBO, DoD), commercial, hospitality, education, etc.
- Collaboration with a variety of engineering and architectural disciplines
- Interface with local AHJs and building owner insurance representatives
- Development of site Fire Protection features and fire department access plans
- Analysis of smoke movement, means egress, and fire hazards
- Communication with clients and writing technical reports
- Write and edit project specifications related to Fire Protection systems
- Utilize Revit and other drafting software to create design drawings
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional experience
- Bachelor’s of Science degree from an ABET accredited engineering program
- PE License or EIT license with intention of pursuing PE Licensure
- Experience in fire suppression, fire alarm, and life safety review and design
- Experience with Revit, AutoCad, and Fire Protection related computational programs
- Knowledge of adopted building codes and governmental (DoD, VA, GSA) standards
- Experience in Mission Critical and/or Semi-Conductor markets preferred
- Familiarity of working with NFPA codes and standards
- Proven track record of communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Capability to travel (~15%)
- Ability to obtain security clearance, as required
