Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Create repair quotes for fire sprinkler and alarm deficiencies generated from testing and inspection reports.
- Report to the corresponding Service Department Manager for approval before submitting the quote to the customer.
- Process approved quotes into Service jobs and create work orders for service departments.
- Follow up with customers to provide any feedback necessary regarding quotes.
- Communicate with the Inspection Departments to retrieve additional details to provide appropriate and competitive quotes.
- Provide quality control when reviewing inspection reports before providing quotes.
- Source pricing for all materials necessary for repair jobs through database and vendor lists.
- Itemize the list of all materials to be used on repair jobs.
- Provide detailed information on what the repair quote includes and excludes.
- Assist with providing inspection reports to customers.
- Obtain PO from customers when required.
- Provide other general administrative office duties and answer business telephone lines.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a busy office.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and other internal programs.
- The ability to sit or stand in an office environment for 8-hour shifts.
- The ability to learn to identify and document materials used for deficiency repairs.
- The ability to communicate with customers and peers professionally in an office environment.
- Proficient writing skills in the English language. Possessing knowledge of NFPA 25, 13, or 72 is a plus.
- High School education or GED.
Preferred Qualification
- Prior field experience with fire sprinkler systems and fire alarms.
- Possesses knowledge of NFPA 25, 13, or 72.
- Understanding of Fire Protection systems.
- Prior experience in a service-based company.
Compensation is $17-$24/hour depending on experience
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee must frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must often stand for 8 hours, walk, sit, climb stairs, or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must withstand working in temperatures that may exceed 100 degrees. The employee will need to be able to walk over 1 mile in a day.
