Fire/Life Safety & Security Systems Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings.
You will participate in the installation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of state-of-the-art fire alarm and security equipment, including fire safety, mass notification, detectors, field peripherals, cctv or ip cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and software platforms. CLICK HERE:TECHNICIAN VIDEO As aFire/Life Safety & Security Systems Technician, you will: Assist with the commissioning of new fire alarm and security systems on construction ensuring seamless integration Assist with testing and inspecting of existing fire alarm and security systems Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader Complete commissioning within planned timelines Submit accurate time and expense logs Work overtime when needed You will make an impact with these qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Proven electro-mechanical aptitude (based on previous experience and/or education) and user PC/software skill; proficient in Microsoft Office Understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management Must be able to differentiate types/colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 poundsunassisted Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 18 months Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred 3+ years' experience installing commercial fire alarm equipmentand integrated security systems Ability to read/understand design and construction documents You'll benefit from: Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
