Fire Extinguisher Technician

The ideal Fire Extinguisher Technician is expected to perform the work with the highest of quality and have the ability to work independently.

The duties and responsibilities of the Fire Extinguisher Technician will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Inspect, repair, perform maintenance and install dry-chemical portable Fire Extinguishers using basic hand tools and recharging equipment
• Service extinguishers and examine mechanical parts, extinguishing agents, and expelling means; replace worn or damaged parts. Clean extinguishers and recharge them with approved materials
• Complete all inspection paperwork and company reporting in a timely manner

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to operate company vehicle
• Preferred 1-3 years related experience
• Preferred Certification: NFPA and ICC (International Code Course)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60lbs
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors in varying temperatures for long periods of time
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude; company shirts provided and must be worn
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
