The Life Safety Specialist is responsible for implementing Life Safety Team (LST) training programs at Client facilities and to assure the competency and proficiency of all leads assigned to each location.
Essential Functions:
Administrative Functions
- Recruit and Train Life Safety Team Volunteers (LST) for each location based on building specifications (floors, levels, etc) and assigning and Supervising the Life Safety Team Leads and recognizing all Life Safety Team members during Fire Prevention Week.
- Scheduling and conducting training sessions, drills for CPR/FA, all hazards and fire evacuations.
- Maintaining the Life Safety Team website for on-line training presentations and distribute material to new volunteers for recruitment.
- Establishing relationships with the building management and local fire department for participation with fire drills and special events.
- Coordinate annual Safety and Security Fairs or other Safety Events as required.
- Creating and posting Floor Safety Material
Clerical Functions
- Ordering, distributing and maintaining all Life Safety Team program training documents, supplies, incentives and other materials as needed.
- Reporting coorespondence, memoranda and reports as needed.
- Documentation of all training, fire alarm testing, evacuation drills, monthly AED checklists and any other items assigned by the Client and/or Portfolio Manager.
