RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES
- Perform Fire Alarm inspections, identifying deficiencies and upgrade opportunities.
- Provides direct inspections and service of customer equipment and systems.
- Perform Fire Alarm repairs, maintenance, and upgrades based off of inspection reports.
- Works directly with customers to maintain relationships, perform conflict resolution, and achieve customer satisfaction for retention.
- Partner with and support internal customers, including office and sales teams to include addressing and resolving current service issues and plan for future growth.
- Create reports for customer and agency documentation and submittal.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Five or more years in the service of fire/life safety systems.
- Strong customer service communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in the inspection of fire/life safety systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to expand skill set into other fire/life safety systems.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- Knowledge of life safety codes.
- Technical certifications are required (CSA FA2 or NICET Level2).
- Technical certifications are preferred ( Backflow repair, Kitchen Hoods KHFE2, CSA FA4, Fire Sprinkler ASCR4/ASC4, Fire Pump Factory Repair )
- Equipment manufacturers training and/or certifications are desirable.
- Computer / tablet literacy.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/ MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position includes primarily field time.
- Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing. Lifting will include up to 40 pounds.
- Extensive use of a personal computer and tablet is required.
- Use of hand and power tools is required on occasion.
