Job Description
Our client is a Fortune 100 company that specializes in fire , security and building automation. We are seeking a Fire Alarm Installation technician with at least a NICET level 1 certification.
• Perform installation/programming on Fire Alarm systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
• Supervise and inspect the installation and commissioning of equipment to meet customer and contract specification.
• Completion of all required tasks and documentation as needed to complete a successful Fire Alarm Installation.
Required
• 6-10 years’ experience in Fire Alarm Systems.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years in Electronics / Electrical (Network; Computer Science or related field)
• Ability to perform installation, programming, and commissioning of Fire Alarm systems
• Ability to understand and define network concepts and architectures.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to acquire necessary certification courses on internal and external products.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and operational product manuals.
• Ability to perform physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 pounds and to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
• Ability to mentor, lead, instruct and work well with team members.
