Joining the Secret Service, Office of Investigations, Forensic Services Division will allow you to conduct forensic analysis to develop and identify latent print ridges on evidence utilizing various methodologies, techniques, and practices.

GS-09: Applicant must demonstrate one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties:
- Work that provided knowledge of the techniques for comparing and lifting latent fingerprints on a wide variety of evidentiary materials;
- Photographing latent and inked prints, and;
- Making photographic enlargements for court demonstrations.
GS-11: Applicant must demonstrate one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-09 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties:
- Performing difficult latent fingerprint examinations;
- Preparing written laboratory reports based on examinations; and
- Testifying as an expert witness in the area of latent fingerprint examinations.
