The Financial Systems Analyst supports the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Department and 40+ Reporting Subject Matter Experts by overseeing financial system administration responsibilities, including regular system upkeep/maintenance, issue resolution, report generation and maintenance, and conducting ad hoc analyses.
Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist Financial Planning & Analysis department with various aspects of Financial Reporting, Planning and Analytics: Support multiple Financial Reporting and Planning platforms, tools and processes
  • Support both Corporate and Management/Operational Financial Reporting
  • Support both Financial and Transactional Reporting
  • Support Forecasting, Budgeting and Analytics tools and processes including annual Budget cycle
  • And quarterly Forecast cycles

• Maintain schema for Reporting system(s) including:
  • Troubleshoot system and/or integration issues, and data anomalies
  • Research, analyze and recommend solutions
  • Assist System Administrator for Adaptive Insights Planning tool
  • Perform with Reporting Catalog maintenance
  • Perform Testing of Reports and Planning tools related to scheduled System Releases/Updates
  • Monitor Workday Community user groups for relevant alerts and updates
  • Perform testing of regular Workday Releases
  • Work with consultants and system vendors as needed

• Assist with delivering Financial Reports, Planning templates/forms and Dashboards:
  • Assist in collecting business requirements for effective and efficient reports and processes
  • Create and maintain Financial Reports in both Workday and Adaptive Reporting tools
  • Create and maintain Discoveryboards/Dashboards in multiple Reporting tools
  • Create and maintain Planning templates/forms in Adaptive Planning tool

• Help educate and support a distributed group of 40+ Reporting Subject Matter Experts:
  • Uphold Governance policies and procedures related to Financial Reporting and Planning
  • Promote consistency, efficiency and best practices as new systems and tools are implemented
  • Leverage Reporting SMEs to load balance Reporting requirements and deliverables

• Ability to understand systems and learn new tools quickly
• Ability to use Microsoft Office products (w/ above average proficiency in Microsoft Excel)
• Ability to troubleshoot system issues and data anomalies.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective and efficient reports and processes
• Ability to work well with and support a diverse group of end users with varying levels of skill sets
• Ability to work well with consultants and system vendors

Required Knowledge:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables
• Strong systems aptitude

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:

• Experience with Workday Financial Systems a plus
• Experience with Adaptive Planning system a plus
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Domo, etc. a plus
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles a plus
