Position Summary
This position supports the duties of the Assistant Director, Loans in the everyday operation of the loan programs which includes processing all Federal student loans (focusing on Parent and Graduate PLUS Loans) and assisting with alternative loans. This position completes all transmission of loan data to the Department of Education’s Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) system. The coordinator is responsible for reviewing all reject reports from COD and resolving any issues. This position provides support to the Assistant Director for other projects as assigned. The position also requires the individual to be cross-trained with the Counselor positions (Outreach) to assist with proactive customer service on the phone and front counter in order to fill-in gaps during peak processing or employee absences.

Processes all Parent and Graduate PLUS Loans, including monitoring loan status and disbursement.

Duties:
Sends and receives all Federal Loan files through the Common Origination and
Disbursement (COD) System. Resolves loan reject issues daily.

Duties:
Troubleshoots loan issues and problems using the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), COD and ELM. Answers questions from students and staff members regarding specific loan issues.

Duties:
Assists with monitoring and completing loan checklists, service indicators, and user edits including, but not limited to, Master Promissory Notes and Entrance Counseling for Direct Loans, PLUS and Grad PLUS related checklists, late and retroactive disbursements.
