We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team and contribute to the continued growth and success of our organization.Salary: $79,486 to $111,280Selected candidates are typically hired at a rate between the minimum and midpoint of the range, however placement within the entire range is based on qualifications and professional experience.Benefits:Medical/Dental/Vision InsuranceLife/Disability Insurance401(k) Profit Sharing Plan with Employer MatchPaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Holidays)Education Reimbursement AssistanceJob Summary:We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to be responsible for managing various aspects of financial management, including financial and business reporting, internal control policies, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Controller plays an important role in providing accurate financial information to management ensuring the organization's financial health and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Responsibilities:Monitor and analyze financial data and performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial efficiency and profitability.Realize adequate (timely, reliable and accurate) financial information for statutory, tax and management reporting.Collect, interpret and edit external and internal information and developments, in particular regarding (standard) cost prices, production - and inventory variances and safeguarding of (fixed) assets.Develop financial information associated with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system related to costs, margins, productivity and expenditures, in order to have current, proper and timely processing of financial information to take corrective action when required.Conduct regular financial risk assessments and implement appropriate controls to mitigate financial risks and safeguard the company's assets.Responsible for month-end and year-end close process, account reconciliations, capital expenditure overviews and cash flow forecasting with due dates in line with SVZ guidelines, as well as other reporting to legal authorities.Assist in preparation of the operational plan (3-year budget) in line with group guidelines and due dates.Analyze the financial details of past, present and expected operations to identify opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.Assist in developing internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.Participate in special projects and initiatives, as assigned by the management team, to support the company's strategic goals and objectives.Support the Finance Manager and other senior management in strategic decision-making and long-term financial planning initiatives.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related fieldThree years of progressive experience in financial management or accountingPreferred:Master’s DegreeCPA or CMAFood manufacturing industryInternational experienceOther Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.Strong proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP) is a plus.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsWorking Conditions: Work is primarily performed in an office setting.Physical Abilities: Physical abilities are primarily those required of an office or administrative position: the ability to walk, sit, write, hear, and speak; operation of office equipment, including, but not limited to phone, copy machine, fax machine, computer; typing on keyboard.
