We are seeking a Financial Controller to assist us in elevating financial performance and facilitating operational decision-making across the organization. This involves engaging in financial planning, forecasting, strategic analysis, and reporting:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a strategic thought partner, establishing a financial framework for sustainable growth.
- Develop and manage comprehensive financial reports to support both short and long-term strategic planning.
- Continuously analyze key business drivers, trends, and performance indicators.
- Regularly present analyses and reports in a user-friendly format.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive pressures, and opportunities.
- Oversee HR, AR/AP, payroll, cash management, and related accounting procedures.
- Direct accountants, setting priorities, objectives, and providing guidance and feedback.
- Deliver accurate and timely income statements to the owner.
- Collaborate with external agencies for tax planning, preparation, and reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and currency in state and federal income tax reporting.
- Uphold consistent and streamlined recruiting practices.
- Influence company culture by embodying agreed-upon values, particularly ethics and integrity.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
Manage the accounting staff responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation. Recruit, hire, and evaluate accounting and financial staff. Coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for existing staff.
