Summary
We are recruiting for a Financial Analyst who will support the Commercial Team, playing a crucial role in financial planning and analysis to drive strategic decision-making within the commercial functions of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a keen understanding of business operations.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Major Requests:
- Ad hoc P&Ls, sales reporting, product cost reporting requests from sales, marketing, or trade.
- New product development costing and P&Ls.
- Preparation of other reports as requested.
Performance Reporting:
- Generate and distribute regular financial performance reports to key stakeholders within the Commercial Team.
- Present financial results and insights in a clear and concise manner to facilitate decision-making processes.
Financial Modeling:
- Develop and maintain financial models to analyze various business scenarios and assess their impact on financial performance.
- Assist in evaluating the financial feasibility of new business initiatives and projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to gather relevant information and ensure alignment of financial plans with overall business objectives.
Minimum Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting. 3-5 years of relevant experience, Food Products or Consumer Packaged Goods Experience a plus.
Experience Preferred
5 years prior financial experience, preferably in the Food Products (poultry / protein) or Consumer Packaged Goods industry. MBA and CMA preferred.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Work activity is primarily in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
