This position will be onsite 3 days each week at our offices in the Nashville area. Qualified candidates will have experience in the retail industry and demonstrated experienced with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
The Financial Analyst will partner closely with a broad range of Finance and business leaders in Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, HR, and Technology. This role will design, develop, and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Draw on solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, manage and analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders.
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of financial forecasts, financial and operational performance analysis, and other analytical requests and projects with the mission of driving business decisions through fact-based, financial data and analytics.
- Partner with business leadership to ensure alignment on all forecasting assumptions and variance analysis.
- Provide month-end variance analysis outlining actual performance vs expected performance.
- Responsible for delivering weekly/monthly financial results, planning, forecasting, budgeting, ad hoc reporting and consolidations.
- Play a role in quality control and the data standardization process and help develop, maintain, and automate tools and systems to support business drivers.
- Create effective business partnership, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance.
- Communicate data and subsequent conclusions (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner, adjusting your style based on audience and active listening skills, to articulate complex finance issues. Job Specifications and Experience
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent
- 1-2 years of finance experience.
- High Proficiency in Excel.
- Experience working with Power Query and Power BI transformation, modeling, and visualization functions.
- Experience working with Microsoft D365 finance modules.
- Professional, self-motivated individual with a growth mindset and positive attitude.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Ability to multi-task and respond quickly to requests for information.
- Experience in Retail industry, preferred.
