Job Description: The Financial Analyst I is responsible for financial analysis, profitability and budget development, compiling, inputting and analyzing some budget/profitability data, and preparing financial reports for presentation.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Prepared detailed financial analyses that identifies trends, variances and opportunities for the Credit Union.
- Works within the ALM and Profitability database and makes recommendations for efficiency improvements.
- Performs financial data gathering and interpretation to support financial modeling in ALM, Profitability and Cash Flow Forecasting.
- Responsible for developing various financial presentations and reports for senior management.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience: Three or more years of experience in an accounting of Financial Analyst position is required. Financial institution and budgeting experience is preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Other Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Must have good analytical skills and be able to work independently.
- Must possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Must be detail-oriented, able to plan and organize and set priorities in order to meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple projects under a high degree of pressure required.
