Job Description:

Amentum is sourcing for a mid-level Financial Analyst with a minimum of 3-5 years of GOVCON related experience in finance. Under general supervision, this role is responsible for all financial responsibilities supporting specific programs within the Science & Technology organization. We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a trusted advisor to our organization supporting Operations & Finance. They will act as “Program CFO” and will be expected to support the programs remotely with minimal travels throughout the year.

Summary of Essential job functions:

• Must be capable of developing & owning a Financial Forecast (Orders; Sales; EBIT; Cash)
• Support the Month End close process, (Project Accounting; Cost Accrual; Revenue Rec)
• Prepare & Maintain Program EACs with Program Managers
• Provides monthly analysis and reporting of Budget vs. Actuals (Orders; Sales; EBIT; Cash)
• Perform Financial analysis of Direct / Indirect Cost & Profitability
• Own Program Invoicing process & deliverables to Customer
• Assists management team on all pricing and proposal efforts
• Assists management with financial metrics presented in Quarterly / Monthly Reviews
• Capable of leading a detailed financial review with management and other corporate leaders
• Assist in the planning & submission of the Annual Budget (Orders; Sales; EBIT; Cash)
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures (FAR, GAAP, CAS, etc.)
• Supports all audit activities for both internal and external audits
• Interpersonal & Presentation skills
• Ability to communicate clearly & concisely with Program team & Customer
• Shows initiative by seeking way to improve processes & analyze data

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of government contracting experience in finance for multiple type contracts (FFP, CPFF, T&M).
• Requires understanding of all accounting and financial transactions to include cost review, reconciliations of accounts, and adjustments.
• Team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Multi-tasker with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in Deltek, Costpoint, Hyperion, and Share Point.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with pricing for government contracts.
