Summary:
To provide support to the Director of Financial Performance through the preparation of monthly board reports, the development of volume and revenue trend reports, and the development of additional ad-hoc report requests.
To process monthly statistical batches through the general ledger system, as well as process all budget re-classes through the Kaufman Hall budget system and general ledger system. To work as a liaison between finance and the assigned service line areas of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
• To meet with managers and senior management on a regular basis to answer department issues on benchmarking, expense tracking and revenue analysis.
• To assist managers during the budget cycle in order to develop a sound budget plan for the year.
• To play a key supporting role in maintaining the CHA reporting structure via the Intranet, Kaufman Hall systems
• Responsible for assisting in the production and analysis of performance improvement reporting, including data base design and access for Service Line performance reporting, as well as budgeting and financial statement reporting for CHA management and the CHA Board.
• Responsible for maintaining CHA's current Decision Support System (ESS) in order to provide management with the appropriate tools for daily and monthly monitoring of volumes, revenues, and expenses.
• Responsible for assisting assigned departments with budgeting and forecasting.
• Responsible for facilitating a high level of customer service to assigned departments and working with said departments to ensure an understanding of possible improvement tracks in revenue and expense areas.
• Responsible for processing all budget re-classes in the General Ledger and Kaufman Hall systems.
• Responsible for maintaining the management reporting structure within Kaufman Hall, and the Intranet.
• Responsible for providing training to managers in regards to the Kaufman Hall Budget system, Kaufman Hall Reporting System, and ESS Management Tools
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree with a major in finance or accounting, along with demonstrated analytical, writing, and PC and software skills. Equivalent, relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
Demonstrated experience in a wide range of systems databases
Demonstrated knowledge in financial applications and their use, including budgeting, forecasting, and the general ledger.
Work Experience:
Requires one year of experience in healthcare databases and financial applications.
