Position Description:
Clinical Financial Analyst
Schedule: Monday-Friday Day Shift
Location: The Whitaker Clinic of UAB Hospital

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, completes a variety of tasks and duties related to the financial oversight and accounting for HSF clinical departments. Possesses a high degree of confidence in reviewing income statements and balance sheets. Records journal entries and reconciles general ledger accounts on a monthly basis. Exhibits strong communication skills regarding financial topics ranging from monthly close to external audit to annual budget. Receives incoming promissory notes and maintains a monthly reconciliation by department and physician and communicates accordingly with Payroll and HSF clinical departments. Assists in a variety of projects and assignments related to the HSF external audit and any ad-hoc special requests throughout the year.
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and 1 - 3 years' experience required.
