ATI is currently seeking a Financial Analyst - Capital Planning to join our facility located in Cudahy, WI. A successful Financial Analyst- Capital Planning will work under the direction and supervision of Finance and the Capital Planning Manager to facilitate and support the Capital budget and several other operational areas.

ATI is currently seeking a Financial Analyst - Capital Planning to join our facility located in Cudahy, WI. A successful Financial Analyst- Capital Planning will work under the direction and supervision of Finance and the Capital Planning Manager to facilitate and support the Capital budget and several other operational areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Capital Investment Requests by developing reasonable business cases with guidance from the Capital Planning Director and the respective project managers responsible for oversight. This includes an understanding of financial rates of return on investment, internal rates of return, and the impact of capitalization rates on an investment.
- The ability to understand, differentiate and explain the difference between expense items and capital investment items, and the impact of each to the company's financial statements.
- Familiar with analyzing financial statement data to verify that capital and large expense items are accurate and complete.
- Understands Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the importance of accruals as they relate to Capital Investment and Major Expense type projects.
- Willing to conduct the due diligence and exercise good judgement when applying tax and depreciation lives. Also, understands the impact of tax lives, tax rates and depreciation lives have on an investment.
- Conduct the due diligence necessary to trace transactions from the general ledger to projects and vice-versa.
- Reconcile actual general ledger balances to the Capital Forecast on a monthly basis.
- Prioritize project management concepts including planning, timing, and budgeting.
- Develop an understanding of lease accounting standard ASC 842 to identify the criteria for a financing lease and an operating lease. Be able to distinguish the differences between the two (2) lease types.
- Obtain an understanding of how leasing interacts with capital investment transactions.
- The Special Projects aspect of this role will focus on assisting with several aspects of accounts receivable in an effort to ensure accurate customer receivable balances are maintained with an emphasis on cash flow.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business required
- 1-3 Years of experience in a manufacturing environment
