SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst at Animal Supply Company (ASC) plays a crucial role in supporting the financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes within the organization. This position involves gathering and analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to assist management in making informed business decisions. The Financial Analyst will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial information and contribute to the overall financial health of ASC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Financial Analysis:
· Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to evaluate the company's performance, identify trends, and provide insights into potential areas for improvement.
· Analyze financial data, variances, and key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
· Assist in the development and maintenance of annual budgets and forecasts.
· Work closely with department heads to gather relevant data and ensure alignment with overall organizational goals.
3. Reporting:
· Prepare regular financial reports for management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
· Present financial information clearly and concisely to aid understanding and decision-making.
4. Financial Modeling:
· Develop and maintain financial models to simulate different business scenarios and assess their impact on the organization's financial position.
· Provide recommendations based on the outcomes of financial modeling exercises.
5. Expense Management:
· Monitor and analyze expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and areas of overspending.
· Collaborate with department heads to optimize budget utilization while maintaining operational efficiency.
6. Data Management:
· Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data by reconciling discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
· Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to enhance data collection processes and systems.
7. Compliance:
· Stay updated on financial regulations and compliance requirements.
· Ensure financial activities adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
8. Ad-Hoc Analysis:
· Conduct special financial analyses and projects as requested by senior management.
· Provide support for strategic initiatives and business development projects.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; relevant work experience will be considered instead of degree.
- 3+ years of proven work experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including advanced level of Excel expertise, including data analytics.
- Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools strongly preferred.
- Strong aptitude for the creation of easily understandable data visuals intended for mass distribution.
- Understanding of relevant accounting principles and financial regulations.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Remote professional home office setting with reliable internet.
- Be available via computer, video conferencing, and phone during business hours.
- Be able to work outside of the core schedule, based on business needs.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
