Service Criteria
All individuals holding positions with Franklin Savings Bank and Independence Financial Advisors are responsible for conducting themselves in a manner consistent with FSB's Pledge of Excellence. General PurposeTo act in a fiduciary capacity by dispensing prudent and unbiased financial advice by using products, strategies and concepts which are based solely on the specific needs of our clients. To develop a team that is knowledgeable, professional, caring and compassionate with all people we come in contact with. This position reports to the President and CEO of IFA.
Duties, Responsibility and AuthorityI. Planninga. Work with the President and CEO to develop business and strategic goals.- Develop and monitor an annual budget.
- Communicate effectively with the President & CEO and the Board of Directors in regard to new products, concepts and strategic opportunities for IFA.
- Provide the President and CEO and the Board of Directors with current information on products, compliance issues and all financial services matters deemed relevant.
- Work with the President and CEO and the IFA staff to develop and implement short- and long-term goals in accordance with strategic plan.
- Assist the President and CEO in researching, developing and implementing new strategies for profitability and operating efficiencies.
- Lead by example and in accordance with FSB's Pledge of Leadership and Pledge of Excellence.
- Assess the needs of the IFA team and provide guidance to further their development, knowledge base and level of expertise.
- Monitor and oversee the implementation of all IFA policies and procedures.
- Work with the team to ensure all business activities are in strict accordance with all various regulatory requirements.
- Direct, monitor and appraise the performance of the IFA staff, including performance appraisals, disciplinary actions and interviewing candidates for employment.
- Represent the company in relevant community activities to further enhance IFA's image and develop additional business.
- Expand knowledge base in financial planning by regularly participating in conference calls, web seminars, training programs and reading and studying various journals, trade magazines, newspapers, research and company materials.
- Network with wholesalers, brokers, RIA's, financial planners, attorneys, accountants and various other financial services professionals to identify new business relationships.
- Assist the President and CEO to develop strategies and establish goals for retaining and expanding customer relationships as well as developing a client referral program.
- Meet and/or exceed all agreed upon production goals.
- Develop, maintain and strengthen client relationships.
Skills/Experience/Training
Bachelors Degree in business or finance.
A minimum of 5 years brokerage and/or investment management experience.
Series 65 license as well as Life, Accident and Health Insurance licenses.
Good sales, organizational, communication and public relations skills particularly in working with documentation that requires special or confidential handling.
A pre-employment assessment may be required.
A valid driver's license is required as travel throughout the company's service area is necessary.
Working Conditions
Minimal physical effort required with some lifting required with handling of light materials and supplies.
Physical effort is involved with respect to dexterity and visual attention as needed for the frequent operation of personal computers and other office equipment.
Position is normally seated with the freedom of movement on a regular basis.
