Financial Accountant

Based in Arlington Heights, Chicago, AstroSystems Inc (ASI) is the US regional office of the Astrosys International Group (ASY). Headquartered in Hong Kong, ASY has regional locations in Australia, UK and USA. Engineering and R&D is centered in Australia.

We design and manufacture the Microcoin and GBA brands of currency handling equipment, which are widely used for applications in the Gaming, Amusement, Vending and Carwash industries.

Reporting to the Group General Manager, we are currently seeking experienced accounts personnel,

You will use your skills to migrate our current Peachtree package to a new suitable SAGE package. Once migrated you will be responsible for all day to day, end of month and end of financial year accounts.

Key Responsibilities but not limited too.

- Accounts Receivable

- Accounts Payable

- Creditors’ payments

- Fixed Assets

- Stock Ledger

- Payroll

- General Journals and Accruals

- General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations

- Bank Reconciliation

- Financial reports to Head Office in HK as required.

- BAS –Monthly Business Activity Statements for GST, PAYG and FBT

- Payroll Tax

- Superannuation

- Group Certificates reconciliation (Wages and PAYG reconciliation)

- Annual Workers Compensation Estimate and Actual Wages Declaration

- Income Tax Return

- Fringe Benefits Tax Return

- Preparation of all other reports as required by Government Entities such as ASIC, ATO, Bureau of Statistics, Victoria and NSW Payroll Tax Offices, Vic and NSW Workers Compensation Agencies, etc.

- Maintain Employee Records, and

- All other duties and responsibilities that ASI and the Group might assign in compliance to the role of Accounting and Administration personnel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,093.83 - $77,188.27 per year
