About the opportunity:

As a direct report to the Deputy Director, Financial Management, the Finance Manager will assume responsibility for a range of financial management duties, including overseeing general financial accounting operations such as month-end reconciliations and the maintenance of specific cost centers and project codes. This entails preparing monthly financial reports, forecasting, budget reports, and project reporting for ongoing strategic projects, in addition to supporting the Deputy Director during budget and forecast reporting cycles.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role necessitates active collaboration and engagement with staff throughout the university to address individual analytical reporting needs. Furthermore, the Finance Manager will provide supervision and mentorship to the Accountant, while ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
