POSITION: Finance Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of accounting experience (preferred)
- 3+ years of financial reporting, and financial management experience, including audit
- management (preferred)
- Experience working in a non-profit, charter school, or socially responsible organization.
- Proficient in Excel, G-suite (Drive)
- Experience using Intacct, Payroll Management Software (ADP), Bill.com (preferred but
- not required)
- Prior experience managing and prioritizing the work of team members (preferred)
- Organized, efficient, and attentive to detail.
- Communicates well with others and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains financial data
- Processes payroll in the accounting platform promptly
- Performs Accounting and Bookkeeping activities
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
- Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting
- data.
- Assists with preparing financial reports.
- Uses accrual accounting for entries including accurate dates and clear descriptions.
- Manages A/P and A/R functions.
- Substantiates financial transactions by quality checking financial documents.
- Maintains accounting controls by adhering to policies and procedures and escalating
- and recommending process improvements.
- Keeps accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Manages and track income expenses related to all contracts and grants, including state
- entitlements.
- Completes audit schedules
- Researches documentation discrepancies with clients and/or vendors
- Other duties as assigned
SALARY: Range is from $75K - $90K (commensurate with experience and credentials)
