Job Description:
Responsible for managing the financial health of an organization, to develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth, laws, procedures, and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor, and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company's status and financial forecasts
- Ensure timely and accurate insurance claim processing, queries third parties about payment delays, recommend changes or training to reduce errors and delays, and evaluate and resolve reimbursement issues.
- Assure billing is submitted for all programs timely. Submit insurance claims to clearinghouse, MCO's or individual insurance companies electronically or via paper
- Work closely with Medicaid and insurance companies to ensure all authorizations are in place and client information is updated annually to ensure timely reimbursements.
- Work with clients to establish payment plan for past due accounts in accordance with provider policies. Assure written agreements with clients are completed to determine payment schedule according to fee scale.
- Assure all insurance contracts are up-to-date and seeks new contracts as needed/available.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Essential Functions Requirements:
- Essential to ensuring the organization meets all statutory requirements, complies with NASW Code of Ethics. Knowledgeable about Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), Public Law 104-19, and follows these processes and procedures.
- Accounting/bookkeeping knowledge and expertise.
- Working knowledge of MS Office 365.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain the highest standard of confidentiality.
- Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Assess and manage financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to the finance team, including training and development opportunities.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts, including cash flow management, profitability analysis, and capital budgeting.
- Knowledge and understanding of service billing ability to ensure claim information is complete and accurate.
Education: Bachelor's Degree, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
Experience: 5yrs experience in financial role preferred.

Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
