Colton RV & Marine is seeking an Finance Managerbased out of our North Tonawanda, NY  Facility. As the Finance Manager, you are responsible or the processes and procedures involved within financing of RVs, including finalizing financial transaction quickly while following legal and ethical practices, presenting products to protect the customers investment, tracking and monitoring all financial transactions and ensuring compliance in all aspects of financing.

Your accountabilities include:

  • Oversee customer loan origination and approval process from start to finish.
  • Selects appropriate lender, secures approval, obtains customer commitment, and finalizes delivery
  • Presents financial products such as service contracts, paint and fabric protection, tire protection, roadside protection, insurance, and other products designed to protect our customers and their investment.
  • Partner with sales management to move deals effectively through the purchase process.
  • Maintain accurate monthly performance reporting.
  • Manages contracts in transit and ensures funding with constant communication with business office
  • Consistently adheres to all F&I office process and flow of contracts
  • Establish and maintain strong relations with both customers and lending partners.
  • Prepare all federal and state required paperwork for financial transactions and work closely with corporate finance team.
  • Tracks and monitors F&I PVR, product penetration and lender penetrations
  • Participates weekly in sales meetings regarding F&I training and issues
  • Participates in monthly manager meetings along with department meetings.
  • Assists General Manager and Sales Manager in training sales staff
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Travel to offsite shows

To be successful you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of finance experience preferred.
  • Must have at the time of hire, and maintain throughout employment, a valid driver’s license with no major infractions.
  • Maintain a valid Notary Public is required.
  • A background check and drug screening must be successfully completed.

Other Critical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Include:

  • Knowledge of bank rates and lender status is required.
  • Ability to plan, schedule and assign work and instruct staff.
  • Ability to crawl, reach, sit, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Attention to detail is critical for this position. Must be able to meet deadlines, as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, since schedules and business requirements can change without advance notice.
  • Ability to work overtime on short notice or no notice, and travel out-of-town, sometimes overnight, on occasion.
  • Ability to operation personal computer, printer, fax and mobile phone.
  • Participate on company teams as appropriate to ensure integration of activities.
  • Must have a positive attitude and good work ethic.
  • Ability to work with individuals external to the organization, especially customers.
  • Ability to work with individuals internal to the organization, including all departments to leverage resources and ensure that activities are complementary and focused on the customer.
  • Identify business issues, analyze processes and outcomes to enhance business performance.
  • Skilled in establishing and fostering professional contacts.
  • Expert knowledge and ability in applying the organizational sales process effectively.
  • Understands how the organization fits into the industry, the industry as a whole and the links to related industries

In 1962 “Old-Boy” Bill Colton started an Auto Upholstery Business where he focused on the custom interiors of the most rad-ist vans of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.  A cultural shift in the early 90’s away from the rad interior custom van market led to a new opportunity for Old Boy's two sons, Chris and Jim.
