GENEX Cooperative is seeking a Finance Intern in Shawano, WI to provide financial professional assistance to our team that will result in improved profit potential and process optimization. In addition, GENEX will provide networking opportunities with peers and leaders skill development workshops and training sessions.
Major Areas of Accountability:
- Assist with financial processes and quarterly close responsibilities
- Dive into the world of finance through day-to-day tasks like processing transaction but also through detailed analysis, process improvements, systems enhancement, and more
- Analyze data and process flows to streamline information flow
- Support team with ad-hoc projects and research
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a focus on business, with a concentration in Finance/Accounting.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Project Management.
- Attention to detail and ability to see the bigger picture
- Intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity
- Strong communication abilities
- Interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork and partnerships
- An understanding of business concepts, deductive reasoning, and quantitative skills
