Final Inspector
This is a Night Shift position (11:00 pm to 7:30 am), M-F
Pay Rate $22.50/hr plus a 10% differential

SUMMARY
Inspect final product (frames and lenses) for any visible irregularities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Duties
- Inspect the final product according to the Final Inspection Release Criteria (optics and cosmetics)
- Check optics per ANSI, proper coatings
- Check visual condition/quality of completed jobs
- Know reasons to reject and where to expedite
- Ability to understand Rx and work ticket
- Communicate with Supervisor/Manager regarding issues and problems
Secondary Duties
- Cross-train in other positions (i.e. mounting, etc.)
- Help/Assist in other areas of department when needed and as directed by Supervisor
- Visual Inspection
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- ABO Certification helpful but not required
Experience
- Some optical laboratory experience required
- One year Mounting experience
- Know and understand the process of eyeglass manufacturing and the details of the steps involved
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to read Prescriptions
- Able and willing to work as a team
- Must be able to work Overtime and Saturdays when needed
- Able to read and write English Language well
- Have good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail and patience
- Work without supervision
- Excellent math skills
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to manipulate, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
