Boix Machinery USA, is seeking a driven, experienced Technical Representative that will be responsible for building strong professional relationships with customers. You will represent Boix Machinery: an innovative and world-leading company which designs and manufactures industrial machinery that specializes in forming, erecting and gluing corrugated and compact cardboard boxes. Our machines apply to the agricultural, Corrugated and Fiberboard manufacturers, E-commerce, food and other general manufacturing industries. You will work closely with our team in Houston, TX as well as work with our commercial and technical team to grow sales and offer solutions to drive company revenue.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Maintain infrastructure to support corporate/business unit goals within assigned area.
  • Coordinate courtesy work activity to meet corporate/business unit goals and objectives.
  • Able and willing to travel a minimum 50% of the time to perform tasks at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and resolve a high percentage of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues unassisted.
  • Actively involved with equipment installations and commissioning of machines
  • Communicate effectively with other field service technicians to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain a positive, professional relationship with customer personnel.
  • Document pertinent technical and customer information to facilitate an ongoing business relationship.
  • Carrying out tasks of the aftermarket sales area of the business.
  • Produce extremely accurate, complete and timely customer technical reports that can be submitted to customers with confidence.
  • Take initiative to learn new components and design principles as they are introduced.
  • Proactively identifies product/service sales opportunities at customer sites that will enhance customer's packaging processes.
  • Train customer personnel in informal (hands on) settings.
  • Perform machine audits.
  • Recommend machine design changes and enhancements.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with related tasks and projects.
  • Coordinate service attention and technical assistance
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Attending and representing Company in trade shows.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Preferably have a two-year technical degree in packaging machine automation or related technical field such as Fluid Power or Industrial Maintenance and a minimum of five years demonstrated work experience in the packaging manufacturing industry or related technical field, or, have a high school diploma and five years of demonstrated work experience in the packaging manufacturing industry or a related technical field.

Availability for Potential International Travel:

  • The role may involve international travel for training purposes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
