Job Title:Field Service Technician

SUMMARY:
The Field Service Engineer (EV Tech) is responsible for performing crane services and technical assistance to customers and distributors in an assigned territory. This position is based out of the Tadano America location in Houston, Texas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides technical direction, guidance and support to customers for service orders and crane issues via phone, e-mail and on-site visits.
- Installation, testing, and troubleshooting of EV components in cranes.
- Works with high and low voltages batteries and management systems.
- Performs complete inspections in accordance with standard industry practices, specifications and factory guidelines.
- Provides operating and safety demonstrations to customers and distributors.
- Completes necessary paperwork of service provided. Paperwork includes service reports, warranty reports, timesheet, parts requests and expense reports.
- Assists PDI manager for PDI process as necessary.
- Performs maintenance activities on company-owned vehicles and equipment as needed.
- Performs other labor as needed to maintain an orderly, safe and efficient work environment.
- May perform other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- Occasionally will be responsible for training current and new technicians in EV technology.
- Actively works for constant improvement through more efficient and less expensive ways to carry out different work process.
- Reports irregular issues and problems to management for a solution.
- Maintains good communication with other managers, staff, and outside contacts.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.
- Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical diploma from college or technical school or equivalent alternative education/experience with 6-8+ years of experience.
- Relevant technical certificate is a plus.
- Ability to travel and work according to a changing schedule.
- Mechanical and electrical skills.
- Ability to diagnose problems with equipment.
- Proficient with the use of mechanical and electrical diagnosing equipment to perform service work.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schemes.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

- Will be standing for prolong times.
- May be subjected to loud noises in the field.
- Ability to climb up and down steps/ladders
- Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds at times. Some resources available.
- Must be able to travel for prolong times.
- Will use hand tools and dexterity in the hands is required.
