Field Service Supervisor, Construction

We are currently looking for a Field Service Supervisor, Construction that will engage in carpentry work related to fire, mold, and water restoration, and cleanup work completed in our our Large Loss Division. This is an opportunity to lead a team of temporary laborers, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors in projects, which includes paperwork, job assignments, training others, recognizing hazards, and expressing any concerns to leadership

What you'll do:

• Oversee and ensure that all Company & OSHA safety rules are being always followed at all sites.
• Oversee and assist with construction related activities per the direction of the project manager or assistant project manager.
• Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and personnel.
• Ensure adequate resources and staffing to meet safety needs, regulations, best practices, and project schedule.
• Assist with oversight and coordination of subcontractors and vendors to ensure workmanship and quality meet or exceed client expectations or standards.
• Set up work areas, ensuring that all supplies and equipment are available and ready to use (this includes making sure equipment is running and any malfunctions are reported).
• Inspect work area for any and all hazards, or those that could present during the shift
• Complete necessary forms with all hazards, and share hazards to employees entering the worksite
• Photo document job progress and manage the work that needs to be completed, as well as jump in and do the work with your team when necessary
• Extract water from flooded structures and remove damaged materials such as flooring and drywall
• Drywall, framing, board-up, minor repairs and construction related tasks.

What you bring:

• The ability to talk with customers, manage temporary laborers, and complete simple mathematical calculations and paperwork
• Must be dependable and reliable, as well as flexible, enjoying work that frequently changes
• Must be able to pass drug testing and a criminal background check
• Proficiency in the use of various software (Outlook, Excel, Word, Google Drive)
• Construction experience
• Valid State Driver’s License, with the preference of the ability to drive a vehicle with GW of 10,001 pounds
• Ability to pass DOT physical and follow DOT regulations
• Maintain and/or obtain OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training and IIRC Certification
• Certification on the operation of Forklifts and other lift equipment preferred, but not required

Required Travel:

In this role, you are expected to travel at least 200 days per year and can be gone for long periods of time (up to 90 days). Our team responds to large, complex losses caused by catastrophic events, so the clean-up time is long.
