NATURE AND SCOPE
The Field Operations Manager supports the operations of the company and guard service contracts. Responsibilities include training and managing security officers, reporting incidents and irregularities, working closely with the Area Manager, as well as managing the fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Duties will include, but not be limited to providing excellent customer service and problem-solving skills as well as planning, directing, and coordinating guard services. Performs quality control checks and post inspections for guard contracts. Provides after-hour emergency response as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with adjusting schedules as needed for vacations, call-offs, temporary special assignments, etc.
- Provides others training and general orientation to posts, procedures, and policies.
- Plans, examines, analyzes, evaluates, and supervises security guard staff and operations, inclusive of physical assets and personnel.
- Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately
- Communicate staffing needs and assist recruiters in identifying, interviewing and hiring quality candidates
- Assure that employee grievances are heard and resolved, with help from appropriate staff members, as required.
- Identifies security and guard service-related issues and assists in resolving identified issues.
- Manage equipment, supplies and vehicles, maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists
- Ensure compliance with company policies as well as state federal and local regulations
- Covers critical posts as needed.
- Develops and maintains courteous relationships with company employees, and all client personnel.
- Maintain high quality communication and interaction with all supervisors, co-workers, and client personnel.
- Complete and maintain all required reports promptly, legibly, accurately, thoroughly, neatly, and with correct grammar and spelling.
- Prepares reports and records as needed to ensure operation efficiency and quality control.
- Evaluates current procedures, practices, and precedents for accomplishing guard activities and functions relative to guard services.
- Identifies and resolves account and guard service-related problems.
- Performs audits of guard related performance and conducts physical surveys of patrol areas and equipment condition.
- Identify, report, and document all safety hazards, malfunctioning equipment, spills, and other such matters to appropriate management member and/or client representative.
- Use independent judgment and discretion as necessary in the performance of routine and non-routine activities.
- Assists in the preparation updating and maintenance of standard operating procedures, emergency management protocols and contingency planning.
- Makes recommendations on personnel actions such as recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions, and discipline or dismissal measures.
- Assists with the start-up of new contracts, including conducting a visit of the site, setting up tour trackers, etc.
- Maintain good personal hygiene and wear proper apparel combinations while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Conducts, supervises, and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of regulations, policies, and procedures; develops, implements, and manages
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Intermediate math skills required.
- High oral and written communication skills required.
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Must Read/Write/Speak English fluently.
- Must possess valid NV Driver’s License.
- Must possess a valid PILB Card.
- Must obtain valid PILB Armed Guard Card.
- Must possess CPR, First Aid, AED Certification.
- Must possess TAM card
