Field Maintenance Support

Summary
Field Maintenance Support is a vital position with City Parking as they ensure our facilities are clean and safe for our customers. Candidates should be detail-oriented, thorough, and demonstrate pride in their work. This position requires working outdoors and occasionally participating in physically demanding activities, such as snow & ice removal. Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean appearance in the parking facility by performing all maintenance and cleaning duties
- Perform all tasks noted in checklists as directed by maintenance supervisor to ensure that all surfaces such as signs, doors, walls, curbs, islands, etc. are properly maintained and appear neat and clean
- Operate equipment (such as sweepers or scrubbers)
- Assist with lot and equipment repairs as needed
- Report any observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the facility manager in a timely manner
- Proactively identify issues and work with management to address and resolve
- Shovel snow from areas designated by maintenance supervisor
- Politely and efficiently assist customers as directed by the maintenance supervisor
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance at all locations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate clearly with co-workers and customers and write clearly and informatively
- Positive attitude at all times, especially when reposnding to requests for service and assistance
- Must be able to adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events
- Must be hands-on and proactive in addressing issues
- Some weekend availability
- Exhibits sound and accurate judgement
- Must be able to meet physical demands of job including working for long stretches standing and/or walking; able to lift 50 pounds; and perform tasks, such as shoveling snow
- High School Diploma or a combination of experience and education required
- Must have access to a personal vehicle and acceptable DMV record
Other
- Driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation required
- Shifts generally 6am-12pm, M-F / 7am-1pm one weekend per month
- Additional week night and weekend availability is a plus
