Field Foreman

FirstDigital, an industry-leading telecom company specializing in telecommunications infrastructure projects, is seeking a Field Foreman to join our team. FirstDigital provides voice, fiber, internet/data, cloud solutions, and video services to domestic and international commercial and residential customers. Job Summary:

As a Field Foreman, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing the construction activities related to our telecommunications projects. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of skilled technicians, ensuring the successful implementation of fiber optic infrastructure, and ensuring the quality and safety of our work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and execute fiber optic installation projects, including pulling fiber, blowing fiber, and vault installation, in accordance with project requirements and timelines.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction managers to ensure project goals are met.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and lead a team of technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering a culture of safety and excellence.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that all work is completed to high-quality standards, adhering to industry best practices, and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Safety Compliance:

• Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for the team.

Resource Management:

• Manage equipment, tools, and materials needed for construction activities, ensuring they are used efficiently and maintained properly.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports, work orders, and any other necessary documentation.

Communication:

• Maintain positive and professional relationships with team and work closely with Construction Manager

Problem Solving:

• Identify and address project-related issues, providing innovative solutions to overcome challenges as they arise.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certifications are a plus)
• Proven experience in fiber optic infrastructure installation, including fiber pulling, blowing, and vault installation
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the construction industry
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA certification is a plus.
• CDL is a plus
