Field Financial Analyst

Zurich North America is currently looking for a Field Financial Analyst based out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. While this position will be based out of our Schaumburg Headquarters, we are offering the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, your customers, and the team.

The Field Financial Analyst acts as a liaison between Finance and our Business partners by providing detailed analysis of customer's financial strength to support decision making by Zurich Market Facing Underwriters. This role provides a unique opportunity to showcase your finance knowledge to help close deals.

Additional responsibilities:

• Support Market Facing Underwriters in sales and marketing activities based on your detailed financial review and analysis of customer financials
• Deliver robust, timely information of customer financial performance in order to assist decision making
• Point of contact for the Business Unit on all things financial, acting as a conduit between Finance and the Business Units to support new business and renewal retention goals
• Provide detailed financial analysis and support for business initiatives such as new product and distribution opportunities
• Develop working knowledge of relevant segments and function as a subject matter expert for anything relating to financial performance
• Develop a detailed understanding of market trends.
• Support in person and remote audits of current and potential Agent/Broker Third Party Claim administrators and Underwriting Program Administrator financials and workflow
• Review and approve banking documentation.

This position will be filled at the Analyst I or Analyst II level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based on the selected applicant's experience and skill set relative to the qualifications of the role.

Basic Qualifications:

Field Financial Analyst I:

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
  OR
• Completion of Zurich Finance Development Program, including a Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
  OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
  AND
• Experience with planning/forecasting models and Power BI or other data visualization / scorecard tools

Field Financial Analyst II:

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
  OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
  AND
• Experience with planning/forecasting models and Power BI or other data visualization / scorecard tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Insurance industry experience
• Strong financial analysis experience
• Understanding of Loss Sensitive Commercial Insurance Captives and Deductible program structure
• Robust experience developing planning & forecasting models.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Experience with PowerBI or similar data visualization technology
• Project management experience
• Understanding of Broker/Agent contracts and agreements
