Field Engineer for Facilities Asset Walkdowns
Field Engineers play a crucial role within our organization, collaborating as part of a dynamic team under the guidance of a Team Leader and Project Manager. In this capacity, they execute meticulous walkdowns to capture facilities asset data for entry into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and contribute to various supporting field activities at project sites. The primary focus is on collecting asset data, with the potential need to analyze and normalize data to ensure consistency for efficient analysis. The Field Engineer is dedicated to executing all tasks safely and with efficiency.
Key Responsibilities for a Field Engineer:
- Conduct Asset Walkdowns
- Identify assets and equipment in the field, documenting relevant data accurately.
- Understand the function of assets and their operation within a system.
- Conduct Drawing Reviews o Review engineering drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, and Process Flow Diagrams to identify systems and assets.
- Document systems and assets in a hierarchical relationship with precision.
- Data Analysis o Review asset data, identifying and normalizing key data components such as asset type and operating type. Assess, analyze, and normalize asset and system relationships to develop equipment hierarchies.
- Customer Support o Collaborate with the customer's maintenance and engineering teams to review and confirm analysis results.
Necessary Skills for a Field Engineer:
- Ability to comprehend technical documents and effectively communicate and resolve technical issues encountered in the field.
- Capability to work independently, exercise problem-solving judgment, and organize and prioritize work assignments.
- Professional and diplomatic conduct, with the ability to maintain confidentiality when necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent industrial experience.
- 3 – 5 years of industry experience minimum.
- Proficiency in reading P&IDs and other industrial documentation.
- Technical proficiency in engineering principles.
- Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint.
- Experience with CMMS.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Customer-centric approach.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel.
- Successful completion of drug and alcohol screening for site access badging.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Keen attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Commitment to safety protocols and practices.

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
