Field Engineer- Reno, Nv

Essential Functions

• Assist with development of environmental or civil designs, remedial designs, process designs, and other technical reports;

• Manage and evaluate data;

• Interpret geologic, hydrogeologic and environmental data;

• Coordinate with project management teams and other discipline leads to manage project deliverables, ensuring schedules and budgets are achieved;

• Provide onsite engineering analysis and administrative support;

• Provide oversight for operations and maintenance crews;

• Guide troubleshooting efforts on site;

• Act as back up operator as required;

• Manage site resources and ensure planned tasks are completed;

• Manage critical equipment inventory and spare parts; and

• Participate in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines in the execution of all work.

• Ability to take direction and function independently.

• Must pass background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or similar discipline

• Base understanding of Process Flow Diagrams and P&IDs

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or similar discipline

• 3+ years' experience working onsite as a Field Engineer

• AutoCAD, Civil3D proficiency, environmental remediation experience, strong organizational skills, water treatment experience, and process controls knowledge preferred

Work Environment

Operates in a normal office environment as needed, but also requires considerable time in the field. While outside the office, the employee could be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. Must be able to walk across rugged terrain, climb heights, and work over and on water. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly requires work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.
