Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Field Engineer will work under the direction of the project manager, as well as the on-site leadership team for a particular project. This position requires exceptional communication, administrative, and technical skill.
JOB DUTIES:
- Provide on-site support to field leadership
- Required to complete daily reports, and safety systems reports
- Responsible for documenting progression of project
- Perform take-offs, tracking material delivery, and installed quantities
- Enter web-based time entries
- On-site document control
- Responsible for as-builds
- Assist with material and subcontract buyout
- Compose requests for information (RFI), and submittals
- Collaborate with Superintendent, Site Safety Engineer, and other project leaders
- Assist on-site leadership team with layout (horizontal and vertical control)
- Serve as an assistant to Project Manager on special projects/assignments
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, business, or engineering field (a combination of education and experience will be considered)
- Minimum 1 year of construction experience as an on-site intern or field engineer
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Willing to travel frequently
- Possess strong analytical skills
- Must be detailed oriented
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office. Procore and/or Bluebeam a plus
