Job Description
The Field Applications Engineer (Hydraulics & Pneumatics) is responsible technically support organization in the promotion of specific product focus. Work with staff and management on product training, technical support, new product review and recommendations on services
Essential Job Functions:- Provide technical knowledge regarding products and capabilities.
- Provide timely reports summarizing findings on a given product or project.
- Enhance profit through continuous productivity, throughput, customer service, quality and cost reduction.
- Responsible for making inventory recommendations.
- Responsible for providing product information support on assigned product groups.
- Promote positive vendor relationships.
- Responsible for customer concern and non-conforming material processes.
- Responsible for process improvement recommendations.
- Assist management in development of long/short-term business plan.
- Work with Supplier Management Team in development of supplier and distributor contracts.
- Responsible for Field Applications, system design and customer product development/enhancement.
- Introduction of new technologies.
- Identify key competitors/competitive products.
- Provide training at all levels for product expertise.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor’s degree, will consider equivalent work experience.
- Three (3) years experience in technical hydraulic or pneumatic support-related role.
- Computer literate.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Working knowledge of computer design tools (i.e. Auto-CAD, Automation Studio, etc.).
- Organizational skills required to prioritize, plan and coordinate work activities and resources in area of responsibility.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills required to provide full support of company initiatives.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with associates, customers, business partners and management team. Demonstrated teamwork approach with superiors, peers and subordinates utilizing skills in oral communication, active listening, written and oral directions and cooperating with and assisting others when needed.
