We’re hiring a high energy, reliable and experienced, Full-Time Field Technical Support Specialist to support the security integrations industry! Prosegur Field Technical Support Specialist will provide first level support to our clients and dealers and second level support to our Field Technicians located within North America. The ideal candidate has extensive field experience in the installation and commissioning of EAS and RFID systems. The candidate must be customer-centric and measure success by both positive results and the positive impression that they leave the customer with. The candidate will be working from the Prosegur Global Retail office and reporting directly to the Service Manager and shall be capable of working with minimal direction.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for design support, small installs, and service support for an assigned region.
- Assist with responsibility for the security project once instructed by the Project Manager.
- Responsible for technical commissioning and completing a quality control audit of the new security system with the Engineer.
- Responsible for ensuring that the system completes a signal acceptance review and is monitored within the required timescales.
- Understanding of how to field dress and terminate head end devices. (i.e. ACP, IAP, NVR etc.)
- Ability to identify the requirements for the security system to interface with the site and/or bldg. system(s).
- Competent understanding of Structured Cabling Systems and Fiber Optic Cabling, security devices installations (i.e. CRs, Cameras, MD, EAX etc.), EIA/TIA 568 and NEC standards, IT Infrastructure, DOS Commands, Access Control Systems design and implementation, CCTV design and implementation, electrical basics (including Ohm’s Law), construction projects, and job safety training,
- Support service calls in their region during regular business hours and on occasion, evenings, and weekend work for emergency calls,
- Support local sales reps with site walks and basic design layout which will be provided to design engineers for estimate generation.
Requirements:
- College Degree Preferred
- Management/Leadership experience
- 5+ years of experience in commercial installation and service of IP video, analog video, Access Control and intrusion detection systems.
- Valid state driver’s license without restrictions
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and work on ladder heights of up to 16’.
- Up to 50-75% travel, as necessary which may include air travel.
- Strong knowledge and troubleshooting experience with Access Control and CCTV systems
- Familiarity or certification in Lenel, Milestone, Genetec Access/Video, Cloud-based Access/Video products.
- Strong knowledge of IP and networking concepts.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum direction.
- Strong trouble shooting skills, mechanical and electronics aptitude.
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Local Low Voltage Licensing is a plus.
